Screenings in 2018

January

First screening of the year started with ‘Spiderman : Homecoming’, ‘Frozen (Sing-along)’ and ‘Casablanca’.  ‘Frozen (Sing-along)’ was our first sell out performance!

February

Change of direction in February, we screened the Oscar contender ‘The Florida Project’ and the classic ‘North by Northwest’.  Being February, the month of love, we also screened the family classic ‘Lady and the Tramp’.

March

A great month for us, our second sell out screening thanks to the lovable Paddington in ‘Paddington 2’.  Proving to be very popular wereour screenings of ‘Call Me By Your Name’ and ‘Dunkirk’.

May

Experimental month, as we opted to screen a National Theatre Live performance of ‘Follies’.  Lots of technical challenges to overcome!  We also screened ‘Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool’ which exceeded our expectations, and ‘Ferdinand’.

June

Final screening before our Summer break.  ‘Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri’ (not Epping, Essex) was a big hit with the audience, as was ‘The Greatest Showman’.  The Aardman Animation ‘Early Man’ was popular with the younger, football loving, crowd.

Our performance of ‘Greatest Showman’ was also preceeded by some live music from the wonderful ‘Jan Antrobus’.

September

Our first screening after the Summer recess saw us screen a varied programme, consisting of ‘Ladybird’, ‘Mary and the Witch’s Flower’ and ‘Walk With Me’.

October

In October, we screened ‘Black Panther’, ‘Coco’ and the classic ‘Top Hat’.

November

November saw us screen ‘Leave No Trace’, ‘Incredibles 2’ and ‘Testament of Youth’.

December

November saw us screen ‘Peter Pan’ and ‘Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again’.
